On Sunday, June 23rd from 1-3 pm, Josh Feyen will be giving you a tour of his property at 1933 E. Mifflin Street, Madison, 53704. Josh has some great systems at work on the east side of Madison. Everyone welcome.
On Wednesday, June 26th from 6-7 pm, Judy Skog will tour you through her yard on the west side at 626 Orchard Drive, 53711. She has a beautiful swale and berm system in the frontyard and the bats are finally housing themselves in her bat house!
On Saturday, June 29th from 10:30 – 11:30 am there will be a tour at the Waisman homestead in rural Cottage Grove. 2337 Schadel Rd. off of Hwy N. south of Hwy. 12/18. Waismans moved to an asparagus farm in Cottage Grove with plans for a U-pick blueberry operation in early 2012. Come tour the 18 acres and talk about some of the things that could have been done better. Often the successes are apparent but the fails are not, yet we learn so much from failing. Asparagus season ends just a few days later but we can have asparagus for you if you order in advance/that week (1# for $5 or 5# for $$20). flowerandfruit@gmail.com
