April 21st Guild Meeting – Grazing is Permaculture

Grazing is permaculture.

Join Julie Engel, Grazing Ambassdor, on Thursday, April 21 at the MAPG meeting.  Julie will discuss how grazing is permaculture, how you can identify good grazing practices, and how your purchases of grass-fed meat and milk can help change agriculture, plus a list of recommended local farms to patronize.  She will also discuss the environmental and economic impact of grazing animals for the farmer, and she will briefly describe how she grazes rabbits on a small scale.  Join us!

6:30 – 7:00 pm: Potluck or conversation time. Please bring something to share and your own utensils as we will not have our usually stash of utensils available.

7:00 – 8:00 Presentation and discussion

First Congregational Church: 1609 University Ave, Madison, WI 53726

We will be meeting at the First Congregational Church at the corner of Breeze Terrace & Old University in the Fellowship Hall in the basement. Please park in the back. There is a parking lot immediately behind the church and also across the street diagonally. There is an elevator at that door so it is accessible to all.  WE WILL BE IN AN UPSTAIRS ROOM THIS TIME, THE LRC (LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER).  Take the stairs or elevator upstairs.

These meetings are open to the public and kids are always welcome.
