These are a few of the workshops we will be sponsoring this year. We have tried to make them accessible and affordable. We also are partnering with various places and organizations to bring these to you.
10% of all workshops goes to the Guild with the rest to instructors, location rentals and materials. However you can share these opportunities out, it would be greatly appreciated.
Saturday, April 18th
The Art of Story
from the personal to the cultural
9 am – 3 pm

Story is an important part of our lives and how we relate to one another. We will have a very thoughtful, exciting and unfolding day of sharing with each other in small groups and large. You can consider this part of your social permaculture tool belt or as a personal growth experience or both. It should be fun.

Trees: Planting, Care and Maintenance

Sean, of Gere Tree Care has been an arborist and a lover of trees for many years. Come take in his knowledge and love of trees in a beautiful setting. We will meet with a light to medium rainfall, so dress appropriately to be tromping through the woods. Also bring along your pruners, gloves, hat, water, etc.

Natural Building Workshop
Taught by builder and permie Jarad Barkheim from La Crosse
Location will be the Farley Center for Peace, Justice & Sustainability outside of Verona

Jarad has led many a natural built workshop at the Kinstone Academy for Practical Permaculture and worked on projects in the midwest and the south. We will be building a Cob Oven for the Farley Center using clay from their property.
Jarad presented at a monthly meeting last year and this is an opportunity for us to do hands-on building with him.
