We invite you to come play in the herb garden at the Token Creek Eco-Inn this Monday, July 21 at 6:00 pm (or whenever you can get there).
We will be learning about chamomile. There is a bunch blooming in the garden at the moment. Since it’s the flowers that are used medicinally, we can harvest it Monday night. According to David Hoffmann, in the New Holistic Herbal, “chamomile is renowned for its medical and household uses”. Come find out what they are.
We have a totally new schedule for the remaining times in the garden.
Wednesday 8/6 – Elaine speaks about hyssop
Take the Windsor Road exit off Hwy 51, and drive about a mile. Turn left onto Portage Rd. Drive about 1/2 mile. Just before you get to Gray Road, turn onto the grass “driveway” (just past the pine trees). Please do not park in the Eco-Inn asphalt driveway.
What to bring?
Gloves, water bottle, hat, perhaps a trowel or other weeding tool. We have some hand tools and shovels for weeding. No gardening experience is needed. If you can’t arrive by 6:00, come later.
