February Guild Meeting – Dane Co. Seed Libraries, Annual Seed Exchange

FEBRUARY Monthly Guild Meeting is Thursday, the 20th! All info below.
Our February monthly meeting with be covering seeds, with some instructions and conversations on seed starting, saving, etc. We also will have a guest from the Dane County Library Systems to talk about their new pilot programs of Seed Libraries. And of course we will have our Annual Seed Exchange!!! Please bring seeds appropriately marked, and please have them be non GMO, etc. I will bring some seed envelopes for people to use, but please bring your own envelopes or containers for those seeds you are taking home with you. This is always a fun, exciting meeting as we are all anxious to begin our seeds with the wonderment of spring around the corner.

St. Stephens Church, 5700 Pheasant Hill Rd.., Monona 53716 (from Beltline, turn on Owen Rd. at Ken’s Deli and then turn onto turn right onto Pheasant Hill Rd. and the church driveway. is your first right. From downtown on Monona Drive, turn right on Nichols Rd. and take a left on Pheasant Hill Rd. on the bottom of the hill. (Nichols is across from Walgreens and Nichols School and the Monona Grove School District building is on your right). It can be confusing, because that same street, to the left, is Pflaum Rd. To the right, it is Nichols Rd.

Fireside Room; Please park in back parking lot, come through double glass doors and Fireside is immediately on your left.

6:30 – 8:30 pm

6:30-7 pm is potluck dinner. Please bring your own dishes and silver if possible, but not necessary. There’s always enough, so even if you don’t have time to make something don’t hesitate to come and get to know people.

7-7:45 pm; Presentation and demonstration

7:45-8:30: Seed Exchange and People Visiting and Sharing

We will have t-shirts and some books left over from the Garden Expo Sale available to sell. Only cash and checks are accepted.

Everyone is welcome at our monthly meetings. If you know someone who’s interested, please put the invite out to them.
